Peer review policy

Every paper published in the IIoET Journal has been peer reviewed under this policy. The full policy is in theResources library.

The process

1. Editorial screening. The editor checks scope, originality and completeness, normally within two weeks.
2. Double-anonymous review. Papers that pass screening go to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Neither authors nor reviewers know each other's identity.
3. Decision. The editor decides to accept, request revisions, or reject, giving reasons drawn from the reviews.
4. Revision. Revised papers may return to the original reviewers.

Conflicts of interest

Reviewers and editors declare conflicts and step aside where one exists. Papers by members of the editorial board are handled by another editor and receive the same review.

Dates

Each published paper shows the dates it was received, accepted and published.
