Standards

Standards and ethics

IIoET admits, assesses and holds its members to published standards. Every standard is public, so anyone can see what a post-nominal stands for.

The standards

Admission

Applications are assessed against the criteria for each grade, set out in the Membership Grades and Admission Framework. Assessment is evidence-based; Fellowship is decided by a panel.

Conduct

Every member agrees to the Code of Conduct on admission and on each renewal. It sets out IIoET's expectations of competence, integrity, and responsibility to the public and to the profession.

Keeping current

Members record continuing professional development each year to the expectation for their grade. See CPD.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about the conduct of an IIoET member, contact contact@iioet.org. Concerns are handled under the Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure, and outcomes that affect a member's standing are reflected on the public register.

All documents are served from the Resources library, the single source of truth.
